A 20,000-ton-scale benchmark project for extracting bromine from seawater is currently under construction in China. This project is the largest-scale seawater bromine extraction industrial project in the country and is of great significance for promoting the large-scale and intensive development of the industry. The production conditions for seawater bromine extraction are extremely corrosive. The circulating air contains multiple strong acids such as hydrogen bromide, sulfuric acid, and hydrochloric acid, along with corrosive water mist. This poses extremely high requirements for the anti-corrosion ability, structural strength, and operational stability of the supporting process fans.
For a long time, the industry has lacked a perfect complementary solution. Both of the two mainstream fans have obvious shortcomings, which have restricted the implementation of large-scale projects. Traditional fiberglass reinforced plastic fans have excellent corrosion resistance, but the material limitations result in weak structural strength, large forming difficulty, and poor stability of the super-large models, making them unsuitable for the 20,000-ton production line. Conventional metal centrifugal fans have sufficient mechanical strength and can be made into large models, but they are difficult to withstand the erosion of mixed strong acids and are prone to shell rusting, component damage, and equipment shutdown, increasing the operating costs and production risks of enterprises.
二、Comprehensive design, solving multiple problems in one go
